Background

he Royal court is strictly organized in several segregated pillars. At the Court of the King, several areas are covered, besides the most obvious pillar of them all, the nobility, also their operations and sides are habitants and users of the facilities of the Royal Court. All four pillars of the Royal Court together form the foundation, the support, the base of The King’s Court. Following this we will guide you along these magnificent, strong, independent pillars of society, pillars of renown, pillars of guidance, and the pillars of the Kingdom. It is on those four branches of the Court the faith of the Kingdom rests, the future of you and me; the future of us all.

ithin the order of the human armies, there has always been a distinction; the filthy job and the honour job. The plated, iron fist of the infantry plant their boots into the mud, bracing their shields for the impending strikes and hold the lines of the human lands. Slowly, on the nearby hilltop, a glimmer can be seen, a sparkle of light. An officer bearing the golden shoulders, and the fierce golden lions at his chest, appears on his valiant charger. Soon this one man on a horse is accompanied by others, his brothers and sisters in arms, shining silver, blue and gold armour, glittering in the sunlight, inspiring the infantry to hold their line as the best men and women of the Alliance have arrived. The Royal Court Guard Household Cavalry.
The Royal Court Guard forms the main body of defence and offence in the hand of the nobles. Bearing the distinct armour within the city, the silvery plate with the blue of the Kingdom, symbolizes their affinity with the King and with the nobles. Here in the city, they are the Honour Guard, the awarded veterans of the Alliance, the grand and noble soldiers. Veterans and experienced troops, now tasked with the defence of Keep and Government, as it is them whom with a relentless hand, strive to uphold peace within the hallowed, marble halls; it is they whom with the King’s Crest at hand, will defend the halls with their dieing breath.
This is the Pillar of Protection; The Royal Court Guard – Keep Defenders – Household Cavalry to the King.

light, echoing chime can be heard as an elegant man moves his silver spoon against a crystal glass, inside the grand banquet hall of Stormwind Keep before he begins a long, inspiring speech on the evolution of the power of humanity. The table filled with renowned faces; all the lords and ladies have gathered to attend this majestic banquet, hosted by the nobles of The Royal Court. It is at this table where the fate of mankind is decided, it is at this table where the nobles gather to extend pleasantries and power.
Ever wondered who those men and women are in the fancy robes, dresses and suits?
Ever wondered who make those decisions that you love or hate?
They are those privileged few whom walk in the hallowed, marble halls in the grand Keep of Stormwind. These people have not been summoned to the side of the King just for appearances or due to their heritage alone. Most have served on the front lines or in the defence of their respective homelands and worked hard to ascertain their place. Others have proven their worth to the Alliance by more diplomatic natures. To be a noble, it is a privilege, not a right.
There have long been talks of corruption, of desertion of interest, a lack of active contribution, well rest assured, because this day the Council of Nobles meets again, this day the nobles address the issues at hand, in name of the King, in name of a better human realm. These nobles, the crème of society, all veterans and experienced men and women now think and reflect on the future of our society. It is in these wise, honourable and capable hands we place our trust and our faith as we embark into a new century. These nobles, under the guidance of King Varian Wrynn, are the combined minds of all human Kingdoms, as we gather this day to glorify the past and to uphold the traditions of old into a new future, a future of hope, a future of Nobel endeavours and a guiding hand of noble blood.

ver wondered why your neighbour vanished after speaking of treason against the king? Ever wondered what that glimmer is in the corner? Allow me enlighten you; it is the Agents of the King. The rumoured and well trained secret operatives who ensure the King’s will be done. Some believe these Agents to be nothing more than myth, a conspiracy. These agents, as much as they operate in the shadows, they can be; your best friend, the beggar on the corner or the man reading a book in the abbey. They are everywhere and nowhere, they are visible and invisible. They can be your best friend or worst enemy. One wrong word to the right set of ears, and you may find yourself dropping the soap in the Stockades. You might never have to deal with them, or you might, you will never know, never guess until you feel their blade when they come for you. Are you scared yet? If you are not, I advise looking behind you as you read these words.
It is this division of SI:7 that is employed by the nobles to ensure their will be done, their rule is enacted. It is those invisible an inexistent men and women, that enforce the law in the darkest of places, in daily life and in the invisible world. These are the agents of the Court, the undoubted loyal men who will halt at nothing to create the world their King and his chosen few envision. These are the enforcers of the shadows, the unlimited arm of the Court. These are the Agents of the Pillar of Secrecy.

butterfly beating its wings here, in Stormwind, can start a hurricane on the other side of Azeroth. As minor as a servant may seem, it is without a doubt one of the vital pillars to the court. Ever wondered why the halls are gleaming white? Or why never a paper you drop is lying around when you turn around? What moves in the shades of the alleys in neat tuxedo’s or white dresses? Well let me tell you that those are the backbone of the court, the servants. Now you might think the name degrading or their job ‘less’ then that of a noble. But without the guiding hand of the nobles, the strict organization in the keep, there would be no teatime, no shining marble. Imagine the King sitting on a dusty throne? Unacceptable! That is why the servants get paid generously as they are one of the most generous and essential parts of the Keep’s structure. Without a servant there would be no noble, so in our respect they rest; the Servants of the Keep.

s can be expected from an organization of the Elite, such as the Royal Court, a strong order of things, as well as ranks is much demanded and requested. This has been published to the residents of the Kingdoms for a better understanding of how the socially Superior are organized.
As to clarify responsibilities and seniority, the following ranks are used within this elite body of society to exemplify and improve the already present perfection of the King’s own.

he High Consul of The Royal Court is the president of the Council of Nobles, the spokesperson on behalf of nobility, and above all, the upholder of the rights and traditions of old, of the nobility. The post comes with a fair share of public attention, as much as a fair share of risk and workload. Though, it is without a doubt, one of the few people left in the Human Kingdoms who is rumoured to have the ear of the King. Nonetheless, may this be true or not, the figurehead of the Royal Court, the most venerable High Consul is to be devoted to the King, the Kingdom and its traditions; for it is upon his shoulders the final weight of the Kingdom rests, before it reaches the King. The High Consul is the highest of the nobles and the last to think of his own position. This humble vessel of the King, and the suited traditions and roles is the High Consul.
The Current High Consul of the Royal Court of the Human Kingdoms is his Excellency Highlord Didonus Ludovic Martin Essington by the Grace of the King.

he first in the high consuls company, the first in the line of hierarchy are the advisors of the Royal Court; or in short the Royal Advisors. The Advisors are part of the personal cabinet of the High Consul, and their activities are spread along the line of attending to practical all areas where the High Consul himself does not attend to, or in addition naturally supply the High Consul of needed or requested advice. In dealings with external factions they have the last word, lest the High Consul himself speaks otherwise. In internal matters they are the highest authority in almost all cases, again pending on the High Consul’s words. This makes them a clear figurehead of authority and a much demanded spread of responsibilities of the King’s Royal Court. It is in their hands most affairs will be tackled, hence only those of noble birth are eligible for such a position.
The current Royal Advisors of the High Consul of the Royal Court of the Human Kingdoms are;
Her Ladyship Lady Sërenity Essington
Her Ladyship Lady Brelynn Waveheart.
His Lordship Lord Amonothen Aneatros
Her Ladyship Justicar - Lady Nasias Darkstar

he position of Knight-Commander has in recent days not been occupied since the retirement of Knight-Commander Baroness Farlia Goldmantle Wolfgar. This is due to the consequence of the high demands placed on this figure of authority as well as being a figure for order and justice. Besides being the most supreme in command of the Royal Court Guards, the Knight-Commander is also a Royal Advisor in essence and thus part of the High Consul’s Cabinet. This fact makes this a figure of renown and power. Naturally the foremost task is the command of the Court Guard, their experience and inspiring grandeur influences not only the morale of the King’s men, but their staunch devotion proves to be a cornerstone on each battlefield. Recognisable by their shining golden armour, they are the gathering point of the guard and the emissaries of hope on the battlefield. They are the elite of the elite, homage to the qualities and demands of the Royal Court Guard. The Commander is a tenacious and proud servant of the King himself and a proven soldier on the field, in addition to his task and duties as a Royal Advisor.
The current Knight-Commander of The Royal Court Guard is:
His Lordship Lord-Commander Giliard Trannith

he Knight-Captains are the essential, major commanding unit of the Guard. They are the communication between the commander and the troops, and serve as the main commanding officers on the field of battle after briefings with their Commander. They are also of noble birth, making them as well part of the Council of Nobles, ensuring that the military command is always within the hands of the King’s most trusted men and women.
The primal demand on a captain is their natural commanding ability. A Captain acts as a field commander and a side-arm to the commander. The Captain as well is more occupied by the daily organizing and commanding of the more detailed missions, where so directed by the Commander, thereby making their leading tasks an important asset to their position.
The Current Knight-Captains of the Royal Court of the Human Kingdoms are;
Knight-Captain Lord Amantius Essington

s the rank suggests, it is the main rank of the Royal Court, the nobles being the main occupants of the Keep and the Court. It is these men and women who devote their time in political affairs, backroom chatter and debate as they work on the future of the Kingdom. It is then also not surprising they are the largest group of residents at the Keep. Since they on a weekly, if not daily base, meet in conclave as they pull together their brains and knowledge into forging a new, healthy and fruitful future for the Court, but above all for King and Kingdom.

he Royal-Sergeant is the highest rank regarding command held by the enlisted ranks. The Royal-Sergeant answers to the Captain and is mainly assigned to holding and executing drills, keeping the troops on their impeccable record, and lastly led the men into small skirmishes under order of a Commanding officer. Serving under his command are a maximum of two royal-corporals, this to emphasize and maintain a strict division of officers and their respective rolls and duties. The Sergeant acts in any circumstance with consent of an officer. Their unquestioned devotion and presence amongst the ranks makes them a visible sign to the men of a committed command.

he most senior, skilled and battle hardened Royal Guard, get the honour of increased responsibility and duties. It is this man who spreads the word of the guard around town, as he screens the veterans of the wars, to see who is worthy to be offered a chance to become a recruit to the most honourable Royal Court Guard. He, or she, has the responsibility to enforce orders, however is deprived of the right to issue orders himself. A corporal is a figure of Command, a hero of the line, a warrior that excels in the field of battle and provides inspiration to those that follow.

he main body of the Royal Court Guard is composed of the elite Royal Guards. The Royal Guards of the Royal Court are the renowned bearers of the King’s Crest. They are not the first to strike in any a battle, though they are the heavy armoured fist of the king, and the shield of the Nobles. As they charge into battle at the most essential time, they will be the last to leave the battlefield. As they guide their horses into the fray, they bring morale up and bring glory unto their regiment and unto the King himself. Though while serving as the cavalry outside the city walls, it is their crest and shield that hold the traitors and enemies of the King at bay. If someone would dare to cause a stir, a rebellion or considers to take up arms against King or Noble, it is these men and women whom hold their backs, whom hold their place as they defend the Keep unto their dying breath. In name of the King they serve.

t is within the shades they operate, it is within their loyalty they serve, and it is with their undoubted skill they act. It is the agents of The Court who are the eyes and ears of the nobles, outside the battle, away from glory and the eye. These are walkers of the shade, the walkers of honour and glory; they are the guards of the shadows. It is the Agents, the silent watchers of the King’s own.

he humble supporters of the King, yet the humble vessels of support and servitude, the servants form a backbone in the Court as any other. Though low in numbers, they are without a doubt amongst the most loyal and important men and women walking the halls. From serving tea, running errands, exercising mission but also preparing balls and parties, the servants are without a doubt essential to the King’s Court.

ou are a nobody, an empty armor yet to prove his worth. You have barely joined the ranks and are given no quarter. Time has come for you to prove yourself, show your worth and earn your stripes within the king’s most venerable armed body.
